# Date / Time Slider

The *Date/Time* *Slider* widget offers an advanced and dynamic tool for working with time intervals. Unlike the standard *Date/Time* Widget, a start and end date can be specified, along with a time range, allowing the adjustment of the desired date and time within this interval using a slider.

The process begins with the establishment of a start date and time, along with an end date and time. Subsequently, the current date and time can be precisely adjusted within these defined boundaries by moving the slider along the range.

The widget additionally provides the convenience of automatically calculating the remaining time until the end of the specified period and displaying this duration in parentheses next to the current value.

The advantage of this widget lies in its ability to not only set time-based inputs for connected widgets but also to experiment within a dynamic context. For instance, the effects of different time points on connected positions or strategies can be simulated and visualized in real-time.

The *Date/Time Slider* Widget has a particularly useful feature: the ability to adjust the step size of the slider by changing the size of the widget itself. By enlarging the widget, the granularity of the adjustable steps is increased, allowing for more precise control over the selection of the date and time.
