# Inputs

*Inputs* facilitate the generation of data such as numerical values and dates, making them available for use in other widgets through connection points, also known as *sockets* (*inlet* and *outlet*). These widgets vary in functionality: some are static for fixed inputs, while others are dynamic, known as sliders. Sliders allow for flexible adjustment and modification of input values by moving a slider control.
